Rene, Grieving, London (2023) is a part of a series of lightboxes Matić was commissioned by Deutsche Bank and exhibited in the Deutsche Bank Frieze Lounge in 2024. Featuring loved ones and locations close to the artist, the works are a celebration of an urban community. The series of lightboxes, were displayed against a scaled-up photographic wallpaper of the artist’s skin as well as references to dance and music that inform and inspire Matić’s practice.
