The CAS hosted an online event with artist Hannah Starkey in conversation with curator Samantha Manton. Starkey discussed the ideas, artistic research and creative processes around her new commission Cath: A Womens Place is on the Picket Line! (2026) created for Danum Gallery, Library and Museum (DGLAM), Doncaster. DGLAM is the recipient of this year's Valeria Napoleone XX CAS Award. Starkey responded to a brief from DGLAM, producing a large-scale photographic collage addressing the lasting legacy of the role played by women during the Miners' Strikes in the region during the 1980s.
