21st Artist Table hosted by Rose Wylie, OBE, RA.
On Tuesday 10 March 2026, the Contemporary Art Society hosted their 21st Artist’s Table with Rose Wylie at Burlington House, London, raising over £87,000. Caroline Douglas, Director, Contemporary Art Society welcomed guests and Rose led an exclusive after-hours walk-through for guests of her major exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts, Rose Wylie: The Picture Comes First.
The event was made possible with an outstanding committee chaired by Nicola Jones and guest list including: Rose Wylie, Sarah Barker, Nicola Blake, Alex Chantecaille, Caroline Douglas, Sarah Elson, Liesl Fichardt, Chris Grafham, Soo & Jonathan Hitchin, India Rose James, Fernanda Jess, Sophie Kingsley, Suling Mead, Luke John Oxlade, Henrietta Oxlade, James Robertson, Sophie Sofer, Catherine Walsh, Cathy Wills, and Amelia & John Winter.

Following the exhibition tour, guests were hosted at the Royal Society of Chemistry for a seated dinner, catered by Houston & Hawkes. Generous thanks to Jeroboams for their support with the Jeroboams White Burgundy, Domaine Borgeot 2022 and to Sophie Kingsley for donating Bouchard Père et Fils, Beaune du Château Premier Cru, 2021, which was served with dinner.
Each of the six dinner tables were named after one of Rose’s paintings: Choco Leibnitz, Dashing Couple, Doodle Bug, Jack Goes Boating, Pink Skater & Quack Quack.
The artist also kindly donated five unique drawings to benefit the charity.
The Contemporary Art Society acquired Rose Wylie's Early Memory Series No. 2: Doodle Bug for the York Art Gallery in 2000. This work is currently on view at the Royal Academy in Gallery One.
